Adoption Programs

Love Saves Lives
We bring humans and animals together through our adoption programs in both the U.S. and Mexico.

Muttopia

U.S. - Dogs are available for adoption by appointment from Muttopia, our beautiful 3.5 acre animal shelter in Santa Rosa, California.

Co-founded in partnership with the Center for Animal Protection and Education, Muttopia offers sanctuary and healing for rescue animals as they recover both medically and emotionally from their past circumstances.

Here, dogs have the freedom to run, play, and simply be dogs in five open fields designed for exercise and enrichment. Our dedicated team of volunteers lead weekly playgroups and “out and abouts,” giving each dog opportunities to build confidence, practice social skills, and experience the joy of companionship.

Every animal arriving at Muttopia receives a comprehensive medical intake from our on-site veterinary team, ensuring they are healthy and cared for before being made available for adoption. Once medically cleared, our behavior and training staff work closely with each dog, preparing them with the skills they need to thrive in a loving home. For dogs who have endured significant trauma, we collaborate with behavior experts to create individualized plans and provide the additional support needed to help them thrive.

Home for Hope Shelter

Mexico - Animals are available for adoption from our Home for Hope located in Puerto Peñasco, Mexico.

In 2025, we opened Home for Hope—an innovative animal shelter and fully equipped veterinary facility in Puerto Peñasco, Mexico. This refuge is the first stop for animals rescued from the streets. Here, they receive immediate safety, compassionate medical care, and the chance to begin their healing journey.

This groundbreaking facility is a true game changer. Home for Hope expands our ability to rescue and rehabilitate animals, dramatically increases access to veterinary services for families and communities who would otherwise go without, and significantly grows our capacity to provide high-quality spay/neuter for thousands of animals each year.
