At Compassion Without Borders, we address the root causes of animal homelessness and suffering through targeted programs in both Mexico and the U.S. The foundation of our mission is built on three key pillars of animal welfare: rescue, access to care, and spay/neuter services.
At Compassion Without Borders, we go beyond traditional rescue efforts with a holistic approach to animal welfare. We focus on saving the animals least likely to receive help—those living in under-resourced communities, with complex medical cases, suffering from neglect or cruelty, and animals who are emotionally shutdown. Because we have in-house veterinary teams at our shelters on both sides of the borders, we are able to rescue and rehabilitate animals that are too medically compromised for other facilities to take on. In addition to providing lifesaving care to pets and animals in our communities, we also have an experienced Behavior and Training team that works with rescue animals to overcome emotional trauma so they are more likely to become adopted.
We rescue the animals who are at the highest risk and the least likely to receive care.
We bring critical veterinary services to the communities that need them most.
We provide medical and behavioral support to rehabilitate animals.
We find loving homes for our rescue animals on both sides of the border.
